Halloween Plant-Based Picnic

Another month, another picnic. Last weekend, my fellow bloggers, Pixie (Plant-based Pixie), Natasha (Nutritiously Natasha), and I got into the spooky spirit of October and decided to put a Halloween twist on the foodie gathering of the month. We invited hundreds of health enthusiasts to join us at Local Motion in Wandsworth for a scarily delicious feast full of Halloween themed treats that were simply out of this world. We had everything from traditional pumpkin pie to not-so-conventionally green quiche and, once again, our guests outdid themselves with their creativity. It truly is such a wonderful thing to see so many beautiful, delicious and nourishing dishes laid side-by-side in a spread that can only be described as plant-based paradise. What’s more, meeting the talented souls who put so much time, thought and effort into each dish was amazing and left me so inspired by all of their stories.

One story that particularly resonated with everyone at the event was that told by Katya and Dimi, founders of Organic Burst, during their superfood talk. They shared their own journey to a healthier lifestyle and spoke about their passion for conscious living and wellbeing, a passion which is now the driving force behind their wonderful company. As well as their talk, Katya and Dimi were kind enough to provide an Organic Burst prize for ‘best sweet dish’ at the picnic, while the ‘best savoury dish’ received a gift-box from Neal’s Yard Remedies. But everyone got a little something for their efforts and went home with a bag full of goodies including Rebel Kitchen, Chi, Pana Chocolate, The Chia Co., Raw Bite, Content Beauty, Whole Foods and Planet Organic. Once again, it was a wonderful day and I can’t wait until the next one!
